Dual Purpose Docking Stations are intended to be a permanently installed means to facilitate a temporary connection of both a load bank and a temporary generator. They provide cam locks of opposite gender, with either trapped key interlock door access, or trapped key breakers, to safely connect only a temporary generator or load bank, but not both at the same time. In the instance that there is a permanently installed generator at the site, the DPDS provides the means to roll up a temporary generator in the event the permanent is out of service for any reason, and still maintain generator backup power. The DPDS also provides cam locks for the temporary connection of a load bank for the testing of the permanently installed generator.
